Clean Sweep of Titles for JSSL Elite Girls


Monday, 10 April 2017: All four of JSSL Elite girls teams were crowned champions after the final round of matches held on 9 April 2017.

Congratulations to all Girls League players and teams and the Boys 14’s & 16’s who were also crowned champions earlier.

This season has seen 21 girls teams take part in the 4 age groups.

Said JSSL Managing Director: “The clean sweep by the JSSL Elite Girls across all four girls age groups demonstrates the strength in depth from the 9-year-olds all the way to the 15’s. This is one of the main reasons why a substantial number of girls from the JSSL teams are finding their way into the Singapore national age-group teams.”

In the Girls 9’s League JSSL Elite took top spot followed by SCC and LFA while in the Girls 11’s JSSL Elite 11’s came in 1st with LFA 2nd and ANZA 3rd. In the most competitive and tightly contested girls league JSSL Elite 13’s pipped LFA by 1 point to take the title while in the G15’s it was JSSL Elite followed by LFA and SCC.

In a final action packed Championship League Super Sunday the young 6’s in action and the older boys finished up their leagues with some competitive matches to end the season.

In the Boys 6’s League LFA made a clean sweep of all 3 age groups.

With the JSSL Leagues now completed we now switch our attention to welcoming 270 teams and 6 professional academy teams from 15 nations at the end of the month for the JSSL International 7’s.


JSSL Venues

This year’s JSSL Leagues are being played at 4 venues with the Super League games at JSSL’s HQ at The Arena and Stamford American International School, while the Championship Leagues are played at UWC East and Tanglin Trust School.
