The new JSSL National Leagues season kicks off this Sunday, 8th September, in what promises to be a season full of excitement, drama, and iconic football action.

Back for its 15th year, the JSSL National Leagues continues to grow, with over 290 teams signing up to compete across 14 age categories and 37 divisions, making it Singapore’s largest and most competitive youth football league.

League Dates

Kicking off on 8th September, the JSSL National Leagues will run matches every Sunday across 5 different venues. The Leagues are split into two “half-seasons”; the first half taking place from September to December 2019, and the second half taking place from January to May 2020.

There will be promotion and relegation involved for all divisions at the end of the first “half-season”, which adds excitement and new incentives for players and teams moving into the second “half-season”.

New Rules

As with any new season, the Leagues committee has reviewed the Rules & Regulations to ensure that the leagues are run smoothly, effectively and with the utmost professionalism. There have been some key additions to the League rules which will benefit all players and teams moving forward. Unfortunately, no VAR this season!
